about

Junk Opera = The random overlaying of 2 or more passages of sound.

1. "String Quartet" of violin with reular strings, violin with cello strings, trichordo & sanshin with missing string, plus excerpts from two live shows in Brighton from 2007.

2. Four tapes marked "How Do They Do That?", "Turntable Birds", "Sounds For John Joseph 2" and "Voice".

3. 8 overlays, 6 from 3 different vocal based audio tapes for the labels Hermitage Tapes, Fag Tapes and My Dance The Skull plus 2 from a solo live show in London in 2012.

4. Violin with cello strings straight to walkman with backwards singing and other sounds by Elkka.

5. 2 overlays of old vocal sounds recorded on reel to reel tape, alongside a bunch of kitchen clatter.

This was a numbered edition of 50 CDr given away inside the art edition of The Acrylic Widow LP.
